ALAN 2025: Artificial Light at Night Conference

Live event illustration documenting the amazing projects taking place around the world to preserve and protect our dark skies. This year the team at Ballycroy hosted the ALAN conference series, dedicated to examining all aspects of artificial light at night.

Whilst ALAN is primarily a scientific conference, it is open to researchers and professionals working in the area of ALAN/light pollution and its impacts, or addressing solutions.  It welcomes researchers, lighting professionals, policy makers, light pollution activists, and those who are interested in the effects of artificial light at night.

The conference aims to present new findings, exchange experiences and ideas, network, and discuss how artificial light can be used with less negative impacts.
