Brand refresh for Great Ormond Street Hospital School & UCLH

The hospital school at Great Ormond Street & UCLH’s mission is to minimise disruption to a child’s education, ensuring children with medical needs and disabilities have equal access to learning, providing a sense of normalcy during their hospital stay

Branded illustrations & Animations Safeguarding is a huge priority and illustrating the students allows them to see themselves represented throughout the school’s visual materials without having photos of them online. We used this visual narrative to display the schools values, curriculum and tools for learning with special educational needs.

The new brand identity for the school had to be both fun & accessible for teachers & students.

We chose a font developed by the Braille Institute of America, Atkinson Hyperlegible for the body text. It was designed to be optimally legible for readers who are partially visually impaired. All colours were selected to pass the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
